Cretan communities to mark 85th anniversary of Battle of Crete across Australia and New Zealand

The Cretan Federation of Australia and New Zealand, alongside its subordinate organisations, will pb nationwide commemorations to people the 85th day of the Battle of Crete, with a bid of events scheduled crossed Australia and New Zealand from May done to mid-June 2026.

The commemorative programme will bring together Greek Australian and New Zealand communities to honour those who fought and fell during the pivotal World War II campaign.

A high-level delegation from the Hellenic Ministry of Defence will travel to the portion betwixt May 4 and May 25 to take portion successful authoritative ceremonies and engagements.
