Protomayia Festival returns to Northcote with music, dance and community celebrations

The Hellenic Women’s Federation of Victoria has held a committee gathering to finalise arrangements for its yearly Protomayia Festival, which will take spot connected Sunday 3 May astatine All Nations Park successful Northcote, Melbourne.

The festival, which has been moving for much than 25 years, remains a long-standing fixture successful the section Greek assemblage calendar and continues a tradition that predates the Federation itself. Committee members met this week to corroborate logistical details up of the event.

This year’s programme will see performances by traditional creation groups, greeting tea, and DJ amusement with Cypriot-style music. Organisers person besides planned informal activities and giveaways during the day, including small prizes for categories such arsenic champion dressed and champion dancer.
