The International Maritime Organization (IMO), whose secretary-general is Arsenio Dominguez, has called connected subordinate states to explicit involvement successful technical assistance aimed astatine conducting feasibility studies to support aviator projects for reducing greenhouse state emissions from ships.
The inaugural forms portion of the IMO’s 2023 strategy, which targets net-zero emissions by 2050 and seeks to accelerate the uptake of “green” technologies and fuels by 2030.
This year’s telephone under the GreenVoyage2050 Accelerator programme focuses connected rider vessels, such arsenic ferries and Ro-Pax ships, which—due to their fixed routes—are well suited to the deployment of low-emission solutions.
