Greece leads EU in housing cost burdens for young adults

Greece leads the EU successful lodging outgo burdens for young adults, with three successful 10 aged 15-29 spending much than 40% of their disposable income connected housing, according to 2024 EU data. 

The fig is three times the EU average, where lone 10% of young radical unrecorded successful households allocating much than 40% of their income to housing. 

Croatia and Cyprus reported the lowest shares, astatine 2% and 3%, respectively.

The precocious lodging outgo load is not constricted to young Greeks. Overall, 29% of Greece’s colonisation spends much than 40% of their disposable income connected housing, well supra the second-highest country, Denmark, astatine 15%.
