Greece ranks among the EU’s highest nutrient wasters, with an estimated 200 kg of nutrient wasted per idiosyncratic each year, according to EU data.

Europe wastes astir 58 cardinal tons of nutrient annually, with households accounting for fractional of that and the remainder from the broader nutrient supply chain.

Only Cyprus (300 kg per person) and Denmark (250 kg per person) study higher per capita nutrient waste, well supra the EU mean of 131 kg per person.

In contrast, Slovenia, Croatia, Spain, Hungary and Bulgaria each waste little than 100 kg per idiosyncratic annually.
