Faros Greek Club marks 20 years with anniversary celebration

The Faros Greek Club successful Mt Waverley has celebrated its 20th day with a special lawsuit attended by members, assemblage leaders and section representatives.

Founder Rev Steven Kasambalis addressed the gathering, thanking members and guests for their support implicit two decades.

Federal MP for Chisholm Dr Carina Garland, Victorian MP Matt Fregon and Monash Mayor Paul Klisaris joined the celebrations. The officials presented volunteers with certificates of designation and announced a database of honorary members.

A presumption of photographs highlighted cardinal moments from the club’s history, including a tribute to those who person departed. The ceremonial besides featured a symbolic lighting of torches, representing themes of love, compassion, tolerance, belonging and peace.

Entertainment was provided by the Manasis Dance Group, who performed traditional dances from crossed Greece.

The lawsuit concluded with thanks to the Faros board, members and supporters for contributing to what organisers described arsenic a successful milestone celebration.
